Due to a damaged vocal chord which Marina became aware of three weeks ago and has suffered from vocal problems since, her doctor has advised her to not to sing until the end of May while she undergoes treatment. The full statement from Marina is below;

“It is with huge regret that I have had to postpone my UK tour dates due to medical advice. I have been experiencing vocal problems for 3 weeks now and consequently today the Doctor has told me that I cannot sing performance length shows while I undergo treatment, or I could cause permanent damage to my vocal chords.

I am distraught as I was so looking forward to seeing you all on The Lonely Hearts Club tour. The good news is that we have managed to reschedule all the dates – except Leeds which is a festival – starting from the 18th June.  I promise that these shows will be the best I have ever performed for you, as hopefully I will be 100% healthy! All existing tickets will be valid for the new dates and I also promise my Leeds Diamonds that I will see them in the Autumn.

As you know, today is the release date for Electra Heart and the people who buy my records and concert tickets mean the world to me. I hope you understand that not being able to play for you in May is very upsetting.

However, together, we will make the rescheduled June Lonely Hearts Club tour unforgettable.

The Wombats

In an interview with Daily Star, Chad Smith said:

” Jimmy Page has come to our shows before but we haven’t had a chance to play with him. That would be really cool so maybe that can happen. Maybe we can get Page to come out to Knebworth. I saw him come on with Foo Fighters at Wembley…”

Chad Smith has said it’s a dream come true for the band to play Knebworth on June 23, saying it was on their “bucket list”.

The drummer of the Californian punk-funk band referenced the iconic history of Knebworth Park and revealed that the Chili Peppers’ were excited to be playing the outdoor venue. Smith said: “Being a rock fan, Knebworth is particularly exciting. I first heard about Knebworth when Led Zeppelin played there in 1979, so to me it’s hallowed ground and pretty cool that we will be following them.”

“Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Queen and The Who – grew up listening to them. To go over to be accepted where these guys play blows ours minds. It’s like a bucket list kind of thing, we can tick that one off.”

The newest, most daring and adrenalin-packed live show, Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus Live, which has already performed to record breaking crowds in the United States, Australia and New Zealand, is set to come to Europe for the first time in November and December 2012.

Headlining the tour that will visit the UK, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Belgium, Netherlands and Spain, will be 17-times X games medalist and action sports legend Travis Pastrana, in his first ever European tour.

Joining Pastrana will be the entire Nitro Circus crew from the hit MTV show and upcoming Nitro Circus 3D Movie including the world’s leading stunt woman,  Jolene Van Vugt (CAN) and multi-record holders,  Erik Roner (USA), Jim De Champ (USA), Special Greg (USA) and Dusty Wygle (USA), as well as some of the world’s best action sports athletes.

Fans can expect to see everything from kids’ trikes, snow skis, tandem bikes and razor scooters through to shopping trolleys, a Barbie car and even a drinks cooler launched with skill off the Gigant-A-Ramp. The show also features spectacular choreographed FMX riding, including the 10 rider Nitro backflip combination train, which has to be seen to be believed.

Speaking about the tour today Nitro Circus ringleader Travis Pastrana said:

“I have never toured Europe before and I am so pumped about the opportunity for us to perform live in front of huge crowds over there in so many different countries. Nitro is all about us pushing each other to the limit every night so you never know what is going to happen at one of our shows!”

A state-of-the-art, multi-million dollar set has been created for the European tour, which will allow the massive production to perform on successive nights in different cities throughout Europe and a one off show at the 02 in London. The last decade has seen Daryl as a pop culture icon, notably appearing in such hip TV shows and movies as Flight of the Conchords, Will & Grace and You Again, featuring on UK dub-step act Nero’s number one album ‘Welcome Reality’ as well as being covered by electro-pop duo The Bird and The Bee, and being joined for his Live From Daryl’s House web-series by rock stalwarts and forward-thinking blog generation stars alike.

Jayce Lewis has been wowing audiences all over the UK as he was on tour with Gary Numan, been slaying audiences for 50,000 in Russia & Asia. Now time to take his hard industrial sneer out in the big smoke with an exclusive rare slot down at London’s Barfly.

We caught up with him to talk about his new video for Electric Medicine.

Hi Jayce so young lad sneaks up on Superpowered industrial badass?
Yeah pretty close, I wanted to mix Power & Innocence together in one video,  basically to capture the innocence of intrigue (being the boy), and controlling Manic/Power overuse.. yet although they are complete opposites they both have similarities.

I had Spielburgs E.T film in my head from day one of getting the whole thing together, boy on the push bike peddling along – and stressed from day one about tracking the movements (Steadicam in back of truck) – as the song is driven.

So you produced/directed and editied it with Drew Hamley,?
Drew is a great guy and wanted to get involved, He had access to a crew and more importantly the Red 1 camera which I jumped at, His story boarding of the video was incredible and got a great crew together, I been busting his balls about getting lots of Sweeps, tracking and movement in this video, filming with the Red 1 was frustrating at times as it took 45 mins to do a lens change in between each shot. I enjoy directing video’s especially when you get a great crew on board, we’re both pleased with its outcome. It was filmed on the Red 1 camera, had about 8 lens changes and tones of different lights.

Where did you shoot it?
We shot the whole thing in a quarry, Oak Regeneration gave me access to the whole site for 3 days. the building was where they serviced the huge quarry tipper lorries.

Sheffield’s indie rock finest, Reverend and the Makers will open proceedings at both of these open air shows, which follow Red Hot Chili Peppers’ hugely successful sell out arena tour in 2011.
